Kentwood, MI
Close enough to GR... -
12/23/2008My husband and I moved to Kentwood after living in West Michigan for 7yrs. through our college years. While we found the cities closer to the coast more conservative and slow paced, we've found Kentwood to be a great place for newlyweds. We live in an apartment complex within 10min. from the Grand Rapids Airport, 20 minute drive to all of the arts, culture, & fantastic restaurants of downtown GR, and within one hour from Lake Michigan. We don't have children yet, but have heard the school system in Kentwood has become more dangerous. We both work outside of Kentwood, but find it to be a great central location to the things we love most about Michigan!
