Culpeper, VA
Culpeper is a great place to live -
1/3/2007My husband and I sold our house in Culpeper, July, 2005 because the real estate market was "hot" and we got a great price for our home. We THOUGHT we wanted warmer climes (my husband loves hot weather, I don't)so impulsively moved to Charleston, SC area. Long story short, we should've stayed in Culpeper. Culpeper had everything we needed and is a lovely town. We are not staying here!

1/3/2007I couldn't have said it better myself! Loved visiting Charleston and Isle of Palms but didn't know what this area was really like until moving here, WITHOUT doing my homework. Plan to move away in 2008 since we have to be in our house for two years or pay capital gains tax! SC itself isn't that great.

Too hot and humid -
1/3/2007My husband and I "retired" from Virginia to greater Chareleston area in 2005 impulsively and without doing our research. The climate here is oppresively hot and humid. We aren't staying!!
