I am a baby boomer whose husband has always wanted to live up north in Michigan so when he retired we came to this little town in the middle of Northern Michigan. I like to surf the web and find out everything I can. I would like someday to possibly buy a place to live in the long winter. That's why I check out this site.

Mio, MI

Clean Air - 8/14/2008
Mio is a small village. It is located in the AuSable River Valley. The air is some of the cleanest in the U.S. and so is the water. The AuSable one of the nation's cleanest premier trout fishing rivers runs through it. All of this is also nestled in the Huron National Forest - no wonder the air is clean, another reason is that it is not an industrialized area.
