Dobson, N.C.......keep on driving. - 2/4/2021
Enjoy the smell of eviscerated chickens with your morning coffee? How about in your face racists? Perhaps you are seeking a cozy town that boasts the highest crime rate of any town in the U.S., then Dobson, N.C. is calling you. In Dobson, you will find a cop hiding behind every bush although you would never know it with one in twenty five being a victim of crime. The town survives on fines and a decent Community College. Drugs and drug related deaths are commonplace. Just for the record, I speak from experience. I existed there for a number.of years. Dobson has one decent restaurant, run by a racist who once bragged to me that you would never see a "nig**r there because he and his wife were the only board members. My best memory of Dobson was the day I saw it in my rearview mirror.
