Cleveland, OH

re: Cleveland does NOT Rock!! - 8/2/2006

I went to a tiny liberal arts school in Pennsylvania and found a job just fine. I grew up in Cleveland and reading this is making me laugh. I have plenty of friends that aren't lazy, and are willing to go out and do things, maybe the people you are trying to be friends with are lazy and maybe you can't find any "good" friends because of the way you act... I don't know you at all, but I do know that you are complaining about people complaining and that usually means you're a real pain in the ass type that very few like. Cleveland is a tough city, and no it isn't NYC, Chicago or L.A., but there is plenty to do here if you would just shut up for a while and quit comparing it. Go to Buffalo or Detroit and you will come back to Cleveland happier then ever.

The majority of what you said is true, but the RTA, Cleveland's public transportation, is rated as one of the best in the country and you can get pretty much anywhere you want on the bus. I know, I grew up there and used the bus. I wish the rapid was a little more expansive though...

Canton, OH

Can't wait to leave. - 7/27/2010
I moved to Canton to teach and coach football and aside from those two things I can't wait to be out of there next year. The city is boring. There is nothing to do on the weekends (during the off-season)that is at all exciting and most of the city is full of older people. There are no cool neighborhoods that you can go out in and enjoy yourself. I'm from Cleveland and I know Cleveland isn't all that great, but Canton make C-Town look like Manhattan.
