11/23/2012Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder; I love the view of Lubbock and its surrounding area appears, especially in the summer. Its quite flat and you can see for miles. The wind does blow daily buts its usually 10-30 mph and usually out of the south or west, it may be annoying to those not used to dealing with wind on a daily basis but I got used to it rather quickly. Where you get the smell from I have no idea, I have never smelt anything close to what you described. As for finding something to do, did you ever leave your house? When I went back to Lubbock for college I could find some kind of different entertainment source every weekend. I am a military brat, Ive seen quite a few places but Lubbock is the town I choose to go back to, for the people, cost of living and job opportunities to name a few. I just get the feeling you weren't happy to leave where you were before going Lubbock and never gave it a chance.
