10/7/2018You mention that "red dirt gets everywhere." I'm concerned about Valley Fever. I know that the fungus that causes Valley Fever is found in the soil throughout the desert southwest. I've considered retiring to St. George. But I'm 66 years old and have COPD. Is Valley Fever an issue I should be concerned with?

2/15/2015I was considering retiring in Arizona. I have asthma and always thought of Arizona as a healthy area for me to relocate. But what I have read about air pollution, fungus causing Valley Fever, I'm not so sure moving to Arizona is such a good idea. I'm 64 and heard Valley Fever is a bigger risk for seniors. Any comments?

2/13/2015I once lived in Tucson for about 2 years back in the 60's. I've been living in California for the last 50 years but it is very expensive. I always liked Tucson and I would really like to move back for retirement. But I am very worried about Valley Fever. I'm 63 years old with asthma. How much of a risk would I be taking by moving back to Tucson? California is nice but I love the Sonoran Desert. And you just can't beat an Arizona sunset. Thank you.
