Thanks for your comments, Joe! I am strongly considering a move to Ellijay next year.
Currently live on 5 acres of sagebrush in the high desert of southern Idaho. We have a private shooting range in the back yard (a berm that backs up to nothing for miles) so the 2A is VERY important to me and my adult sons. Idaho (unlike Georgia sadly) has constitutional carry, which I will miss. However I do have a concealed carry permit which I will obtain locally after moving. The problem with Idaho is that it's become the "in place" to be these days. Housing prices have skyrocketed as well as traffic and rude people, many from CA. We moved to Idaho from CA over ten years ago to get away from the politics and more. And now it's followed us.
I have ducks (6) and chickens (7 plus two rooters) and two large dogs and want to continue with my feathered family after moving!
I hope to visit GA later this year, and if all goes well, move in the spring/summer of 2022. Also will be looking for a house with some land and maybe a good spot for another private range!!
