Brandon, a NICE? Place in Florida? -
2/23/2006Florida can be a rough place to live during tourist season and I've lived all over this state. Brandon/Mango/Seffner (Eastern burbs of Tampa) have some of the nicest and truly most generous people that I have met in this state and I am writing this in Mid February - the height of tourist season when tempers are hot and locals can hardly drive a block without honking and screaming at someone.
Brandon has the convenience of location (between Tampa and Orlando) and proximity to the coast without the hassles and nerve jangling traffic. It's been surprisingly affordable, gas and housing-wise (for florida, anyway) and it has provided an excellent, central location for our business, which requires a lot of travel around the state. We never expected to like a place so much.
