Newport Seaport Traditions -
9/18/2007Newport RI is a famous and historic seaport town, but like many New England cities, the past blends with the present in very appealing ways. It is a walking town that allows easy strolls, convenient shopping, and many out of the ordinary attractions - from boating to touring mansions. It has the feel of a much bigger town during the summer, but the pleasant atmosphere remains (to a much smaller population) in the other seasons. Restaurants are first class and remain open all year, with many special deals (not just for the locals) that make dining a quality experience and a cheap price.
