Horrible people. Ok area -
3/15/2015The reviewer Mike hit the nail on the head with his review. Buffalo isn't a good place to move- unless you're from Buffalo and you're moving back. The people are terrible. Either jerks or so weird, you can't talk to them. About all you can talk about is the football or hockey team. They have no interest in travel, current events or anything else. They do like to talk about coworkers and people they went to high school with. Lots of sexism and racism here. The drive to toronto isn't bad. That's a plus. The lack of sun all winter is terrible.
If you're not from Buffalo or the surrounding areas, they have no interest in you. They like to stick close to home. They don't know how to make friends. They feel threatened by people not from Buffalo. Some people will feel they can bully you because you're not from Buffalo bat and up for yourself! They back down quickly. They like to think they're a tough inner city, but it's a joke. Lots of car break ins. What does my landlord say? Don't keep items in view. Tough place to rent if you're used to space. Cheap to buy but we're RUNNING away when our time to move comes up. It's a dull, lifeless community that if you're interested in more than football or hockey will get old quickly. Good wings and pizza.
Don't move here if you don't have to. It's terrible.
