I am a mother of two adult daughters and grandmother to two granddaughters. They all live nearby, and we are close. I have been married for just over five years to Ron. We want to retire away from the San Francisco Bay Area, but not TOO far! I've had Type I Diabetes since I was five (I'm now forty-eight). I am also 100% Portuguese, my parents were both from Madeira Island. I have two sisters, both older than me. I would love to correspond with anyone who thinks their city/town is a good place to retire! Have a great day.

The weather is beautiful, wish you were here... - 11/10/2008
Fremont has nice weather: mild year-round, and some late summer and early spring waves just to keep you guessing. It's November and we just had our first 'storm', which consists of lots of wind and some thunder and rain. Next day, it's sunny again! Spring has more rain, ans summer seems to come later than I want, usually July. Fall is nice, leaves turn, some sprinkles, but pleasant enough to take a walk in the evening. I love Fremont.
