3/4/2010What neighborhoods are, for lack of a better word, safe: near the canals, the St Jerome and Forestdale Cemetery, Highland Park, Main Street along the river? There seem to be some beautiful homes in these areas but I'm getting a little old to live somewhere where I might be afraid to walk from my car to the front stoop, or take a walk in the evening.

3/4/2010I live in a condo that has a very active social committee. People are friendly. It's not as vibrant as living in DC but I certainly feel safe during the day. The one mile walk from rt 7 down Columbia Pike at night is something I don't do - I'm 60. Nice restaurants, bike paths and walking trails.
