A Great Family Town - 1/18/2008
I consider Lake Oswego, Oregon the Land of Oz. Being a recent transplant from Seattle, we were very apprehensive about relocating, mainly because of small children. We were also leaving a great life in Seattle. However, all research pointed to nothing but positives about our new city. We were cautiously excited. The city is more than we could have hoped for. I cannot say enough about the community involvement, the superior schools and the overall feeling of safety and low crime. The close-knit feeling of this community is incredibly strong. The financial support provided from the parents to support our schools has led them to be rated "exceptional" year after year. The student/teacher ratios are very low and the classes offered are considerable. My kids have thrived. Now my big worry is that we'll be transferred out before my kids are done with high school!
