7/12/2006Lorain is currently in the process of rebuilding its schools... Most of the schools are pretty old and have structural issues beginning to become problematic. School system thinks it is more cost effective to demolish and build new schools than to repair/upgrade the existing structures. At least there won't be any asbestos in the new buildings!!!!

Lorain's Weather.... or Lack Thereof -
6/23/2006In Lorain we have a saying... if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes - it'll change. Lorain is home of water spouts, rain on one side of the street and not the other, and other peculiarities... including varying amounts of snow... Lorain is not in the "snow belt" of Ohio but sometimes we come pretty close to beating the "snow belt" snow accumulations....
