7/5/2013The same could've been said about anywhere in the U.S. in 2009. We were in a recession people. Taxes are high, very true... But the jobs are out there for those that work hard and have an education. Even for those without a college education, you can make a pretty good living off of working in the Dells.
Baraboo is a great place. Close to a ton of natural treasures (such as Devil's Lake) and other amusements. Not to mention only a 30 minute drive to the west side of Madison now a days with the improvements to Highway 12.
Also, Julia, the cost of living in Baraboo is incredibly low compared to the national average.

7/5/2013Overall I think Baraboo is a great place. The economy hasn't been all that great lately, but there are good jobs in the area. This is extremely true if you have a good education and/or don't mind to commute to Madison or the Dells.
The activities around the area are second to none. Devil's Lake is truly a treasure.
Overall, great place.
