re: Keep Portland Weird but Beautiful!

4/4/2019I arrived in Portland in 2000 and left this last year because of everything you said. I moved to PDX sight unseen, for a job my husband took. It was quaint, just quirky enough, and accessible financially. I loved it. Until I didn't.
The rain is too much, and it seems to have permeated people and make them quite dour in their demeanor. I can't blame them, it took copious amounts of vitamin D to ward off the icky feelings the endless months of rain would bring on.
The govt. is ridiculous, the whole Keep "Portland Weird" tagline should be answered with a "Weird Isn't Working" phrase. Too many hipsters, and too many homeless camps, and too much tolerance by the city government. Best of luck to you in finding a good place to live that will help feed your soul. Not suck your soul dry.
