7/26/2015South Carolina is horrible the only good part is the weather. As soon as you realize how beautiful it really is, you then realize how many people around you are drunk driving, selling drugs, selling their bodies or robbing you. Very very stupid uneducated small minded people here, its actually pathetic. People here will rob you blind then beat you up in public because they know they can get away with it. Police here are horrible. This state is an embarrassment to USA dont move here you will regret it

7/26/2015Sadly, I have to agree with everything you are saying. I have been here in Horry County for 15 years. I also lived in Georgetown County first. In both counties I had the two most horrible experiences happen to me. I am a very educated strong confident person. The people down here are professional thieves liars and abusers. Abuse and domestic violence is at the core of this state. South Carolina is #1 in domestic violence, google it. Its true. A lot of oppression depression suicide drugs and its not hidden. Because no one is held accountable for crimes they commit here. Only if you are black or northern will you actually get in trouble its a very racist state. Dont move here its a trap and seeped in horrible abuse and hidden crime.

Very racist state they dont report 95% of the crimes very violent state domestic abuse #1 in the country google it Im a mom a professional and very educated. Keep yourself safe dont move here

The higher end hotel bars allow under age drinking then they drug these young girls take them to the rooms and rape them. Because of the horrible police force, they dont take women seriously so these crimes go un punished every day. If you go to church and rub shoulders with the right people even if you dont there are no consequences for crimes here. Unless you are a shoplifter or some petty crime they will be all over that just to say they arrested someone. I work in two of the major hospitals so I get to see the ins and outs of this corrupted city the Grand Strand

7/25/2015Give your self a few more years to actually live here. Great for a short visit, living here is a different story. Yes it has some beautiful places, if you come please do with eyes wide open. If you have money please dont show it in any way shape or form. If you do, you will get robbed at some point. South carolina as a whole is a very poor uneducated state, google it. Police are horrible here they do not protect their citizens. Im not looking for feedback I am just giving facts from living here for 15 years. South Carolina is a good ole boys state, its all about who you know. If you are someone looking to get ahead or start over, it doesnt matter how many degrees you have, it wont matter unless you know the right people. If you are coming as a missionary, come on we need you, just make sure you get your conceal carry. They hardly report crime in the tourist areas or the shark encounters for fear of bad publicity. I work at 2 hospitals I see a lot this comment is coming from a lot of experience. This area is transient and yes beautuful so a lot of people looking to start over with a lot of skeletons, be aware and stay smart.

South Carolina very difficult place to live -
7/25/2015South Carolina is a very racist state, small minded, domestic abuse #1 in the country (google it) drugs abundant, ignorance even more abundant, very stupid state. Thank God for Nikkii Haley, hopefully she can help change things. I believe I am supposed to be here for a time, I am making the best of it. If you plan to move here, please do not trust anyone. Because it is a poor state, there is a lot of crime. Crime that does not get delt with or reported because they are afraid it will keep people from coming on vacation here. That would affect the financial stability of Myrtle beach and the surrounding beach towns. Horry County police force is horrible. I was robbed 3 times, physically attacked and then stalked for over 3 years by this same person, the cops did nothing for 3 years. It took constant work on my part, I finally found a woman detective who helped me and put a stop to it all. I have heard similar cases from many people in Horry County. They arrest people who commit the petty crimes because they are scared of the consequences of arresting people who really need to be arrested. If you look on mugshots.com for Horry County the only people that get arrested are people who shoplift and drive without a license. Very sad place to live. If you know that coming in you will be ok. If you move here please get your conceal carry, carry a weapon, dont trust anyone. Dont come here single looking for the right person. If You want to find someone to just party with its perfect for you. Myrtle beach and all the surrounding beach towns are party towns no one stays committed. All this is real and factual. If you dont believe me, move here you will find out pretty quick Im right. Anyone who wants to hate on me for this comment, that is fine I dont care. Im not looking for feedback direction or sympathy. I wish someone would have told me what is here. Thank you
