Wages - 8/20/2008
Although the listed average wage looks low compared to the average home cost, consider the fact that after 20+ years of a moratorium on building in the township we now are experiencing rapid growth. (I'm sure in just one year you will see that wage figure change.) This is due to public sewers, resulting in 5 new developments, and the easy access to Interstates 84, 81, and 380/80. We are within 2 hours of New York City, and many of our new neighbors commute to NYC and New Jersey. It's still "country", with virtually no industry, making it an ideal bedroom community. Who would have thought?! I've lived here 30 years, having spent the first 27 years just 4 miles away, and just built a new home because this is where we plan to stay.
