Cost of Living Inconsistency. - 1/19/2014
I have lived in Key West for the last seven years. During that time, I have observed very little change in the cost of living. I work for a national company that pays a cost of living subsidy based on your organizations index. Our last cost of living adjustment was in January of 2012 at which time you gave Key West and overall COL Index of 177 (77% above the national average). One year later you gave the same city a COL Index of 133. How is it possible for this location to see a 34% drop in COL in less than 1 year. I can only believe that it is due to the way you collect information. My company is due to re-evaluate COL Indexes this year and based on your information, I and several other employees stand to lose a substantial sum due to the in your COL Index. Please help me understand how this can be accurate. I would be interested in aiding in the gathering of needed information if it would be of help to you. I have had experience with this in the past with ACCRA. I look forward to hearing back from you. Anthony Page
