8/21/2008We just returned from a 5 day vacation to the Newport News/Virginia Beach area. Literally as soon as we set foot on the ground, my 14 year old's nose filled up like he had a bad cold! He was so congested and miserable the whole time we were there. When we got back home - he was fine again. We live in North Central Texas where his allergies are due to just seasonal stuff and he's usually on Zyrtec, Singulair and/or Rhinocort. While in Virginia we added Sudafed and it was like he wasn't on anything! I know my response isn't very scientific but we're just glad to be home. It's a beautiful place but we could never consider living there because of this.

A good place to raise a family. -
8/21/2008Wichita Falls is a great place to live and raise a family if you aren't the type that likes to "keep up with the Joneses." It's just big enough (103,000 population) to have all the important things but without the traffic jams. We lack a little in culture but if you really need that D/FW is only 2 hours away. When we go to bigger cities we are always glad to come home!
