Could be much better. -
5/23/2019I've lived here for decades and have moved to my small home town. Reason, short term, I was in a flood. Long term, this town has very high cost of living as far as rent goes compared to wages. Add to that the fact that they could care less that they have added another meat packing plan close to residential areas and you get the picture. Used to love this town, not any more, they don't care about the residents. They just care about money.

5/23/2019I grew up near Hooper and went to school there and spent my youth there. I have great memories of those times. I moved away like most young people for job opportunities as Hooper is small. I am 62 now and have found the rat race in the town where I have been living is just too much and the cost of rent, etc. has been growing beyond the wages of the town. When I was displaced due to a flood, I moved to the Hooper Housing Authority apartments. Love the quiet, it truly is going home. Friendly little town, 3 great restaurants, I live near a lake, that used to be a hot spring, is all cleaned up, geese, ducks, all sorts of wildlife. Nice town and nice people.
