Hunters, WA | 1 Review(s)

I am an LICSW (social worker), by profession. My husband Daniel is about to receive an Associate Degree in CADD; he had worked as a carpenter for about 25 years before an injury caused him to need retraining. I met Dan in Chewelah, WA, where I had moved after I was widowed in 2004. Dan and I were married on May 14, 2005. We moved to Hunters in 2007. Both of us really like living in this small, rural town. Dan is a member of the local ODD Fellows Chapter; that organization does a lot of good things for the community. We like the outdoors and go fishing often during the summer. We also have three dogs, two cats, and the occasional uninvited mouse (indoors). The mice never stay too long; the cats usually persuade them to leave. I feel very blessed: I have a good life and a wonderful husband.

Chewelah, WA

Hunters is a fine place to live! - 5/14/2009
My husband and I moved to Hunters, WA., from Chewelah. I had lived in Chattaroy, WA, for 15 years before, having moved from the Santa Cruz mountains in northern CA. We LOVE the town of Hunters; the people are great, the area is beautiful. Having to drive 35 miles one way to get to the closest grocery store is a small price to pay for the privilege of living here. We can go fishing, hunting, hiking, or bicycle riding without having to travel very far; a mile or less gets us to a nice park, where Lake Roosevelt is located. I am so glad we moved here.
