I am the daughter of Earnest & Virginia Garrett. I lived in Broaddus all of my life. I finsished high school in 1967. Attended Texas Christian University College of Nursing, received my Bachelor of Sciene in Nursing 1973. I am presently working at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas as a Registered Nurse. I have worked at the hospital for 37 years. I am married to Quincy Bray, we have no children,only two dogs-Lady and Daisy. We have been married for 30 years. Qunicy is now retired. I plan to retire soon. We visit at least every 3-4 weeks. I am proud to have been raised by such loving parents who cared for all of us and instilled in us as children their values and ethics.

There is still one Black family living in Broaddus, since Mr. Garrett passing. They are the Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Price and son Nicholas.
