Denver, NC | 3 Review(s)

I live in the Lake Norman NC area. Major towns in the Lake Norman area include Denver, Huntersville, Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson, and Sherrills Ford. The west side of the Lake includes more rural areas, whereas homes for sale on the east side are more dense and the area is growing rapidly.

Things I love most about the area is it's proximity to Charlotte where there are tons of things to do and where the job market is good. I love of course the Lake itself. I've found that there are not many other bodies of water in our country that provide such fun. Boating, House watching, paddleboarding, kayaking, skiiing, kneeboarding, jumping of docks. These are just a few of the vast things to do on Lake Norman.

Good points. Mooresville has more waterfront line than most other towns around it.

Davidson NC is top safest city in all of NC! Its near Huntersville and Mooresville so plenty of fun stuff to do there. You all moved down yet?

Denver, NC

Denver NC (Lake Norman heaven) - 11/16/2015
Moving from a more active city in Florida, I also agree that Denver NC is a slower pace type of town. Much more rural than most towns, but the thing I like the most about it is the most beautiful Lake Norman. Also it really isn't too bad of a drive to get to the shopping /restaurants that you would want to go to. There is Huntersville with their Birkdale Village only 20-30 minutes away depending on where in Denver you live. Then you can hit highway 16 to 485 and get to Northlake mall in about the same time. Alternativly Mooresville and all it has to offer is not too far away if you live on the north side of Denver. You get more value in the homes for sale here, you do get a small town feel where you see people you know around town and I dont hear of a lot of break ins so I believe its fairly safe too.
