One of the worst place to live! -
12/29/2020I've lived here since 1970 and my grand parents and uncle's and Aunt's,I have seen about everything from police officer sexual misconduct in the city park numerous times with different police officers having sex while on duty here,or doing other shady things in the past it's been having a patrol car sitting outside of a drug dealers sisters house for hours running while the officer was inside pleasing his self, from a Man freezing to death on main Street because he had Fail in front of his truck on the sidewalk and he always needed help getting back up couldn't get up on his own laid on the sidewalk till the next morning when shop keepers started opening shops up,he was found frozen only a half block away from the police department.they have covered up things,in 1997 church was building a 3,000 SQ foot house too be used by the pastor and his family, when the footings was being dug they Hit a cemical in the ground looked like motor oil but was something that causes cancer it had leaked out of a railroad tank car year's before used to be two sets of railroad tracks they have been tore down now.after 2 year's of hold ups on the permit for the house this city corrupt in every way decided to ok the permit anyway and I helped build this house for the church.other things about this town should be very well investigated for things that you wouldn't believe things of population for one this town only has about 400 people in the city limits the rest of the population is based off of outside city limits residents that are not allowed to vote in any election unless you live in the city limits this town also appoints it's own Yes mayor from a crooked council,I warn everyone that this town has the worse streets and sidewalks and no grocery store other than a dollar general and a couple places to eat but I warn everyone there also these are ran by people who also have favours gave too them like parking in sidewalks and driving violation more or less they get the support of the city and the police department before any citizen does even if in broad daylight people trying to break into your house these police turn their heads most of these police have prior drug use and history of use while employee of the police department before getting made cheif and city manager and etc hooter village here and they also allow fire violation for certain people they park all around fire hydrants constantly everyday and yet the police department or the fire department do a damn thing about any of it and more trash piles House's junkie vehicles all around town they built some nice houses North of the hwy way over kill for this town people should really dig into the history before buying anything here.
