quiet and relaxed -
4/10/2013i moved here from florida, was not easy , but worth it,,, i wanted to get out of the hot and humid days, so this place is nice, many lakes,lots of people with recreation type vehicles, and boats, canoes, and biking as there are many places to ride your bike, also very easy getting around and with couer d'alene just a few miles away there is plenty to do there also. has a campus there, big medical center, plenty of shopping. but people here are very mellow, slow going, and that s okay with me. rent is reasonable, unlike where i was in florida.weather is good, always cool at night, never too hot and humid in summer, a bit cloudy through the winter, but no place is perfect, you just deal with it. there are mountains to the north,south,west and east,, surrounds you with beauty and the beauty of trees everywhere, beautiful fall colors. not many jobs though,but opportunity to start a business with limited funds.great place for kids, my son loves it here, and my wife loves the change, in every way. it is not like boise, which is hot in summer, and much much bigger. thought of going there, but glad i came here in hayden

10/21/2008I found that the weather in Westminster was great, one can enjoy sunny days most of the year and even when it got cold the sun would warm you up, and usually the snow would melt in a day or so. you could see it snowing in the mountains due west, and have it 30 degrees warmer and sunny in the city. there alot of people that live in the area but it doe not seem real big, it is spread out with alot of open spaces. i enjoyed bike riding in the area, with some of the hills it will give you a work out, that's for sure, only thing is one would have to get used to the dry air and thin air. the first time i climbed stairs it freaked me out a little cause it was harder to get my breath, but you get used to it after a while.shopping in the area is not great, i did not like alot of the stores, oh well no place is perfect, but WESTMINSTER is one of the best places i haved lived.

11/16/2007venice is a very safe place to live. i dont even have to lock my car in parking lots, but i do anyway. i have lived here for 30 years and i cant remember anything of any murders or rape in that time although it has happened. we have retired people here and ther not going to bother anybody. the high school is a safe school for students to go. parents dont have to worry to much. if you like alot of excitement this is not the place to be.....
