Small Town Life -
3/1/2007Hastings, MN is a nice place to live if you enjoy a small-town atmosphere. The people are mostly friendly, everybody knows everybody, and the way of life is hard set with little change in sight.
Hastings is an interesting mix between old and new. There are a few corporate fast food chains and big box stores in the central part of town, but under the brigde at the entrance of Hastings, is the old section known as "Over there by Main Street".
Main St. has many old time bar and grill/family restaurants and several small shops (there is even a local cobbler). If you happen to get bored with the local scene, there are many restaurants nearby, and of course, an evening in the Twin Cities is only a short drive away.
