You proved my point by your response. You are not an open minded, accepting person at all. No I'm not a liberal, so you automatically assume I'm a redneck? My wife is a social worker and a liberal, and I am definitely not a conservative. In your post you mention that I can't handle someone not seeing it the way I do and then you call me an "idiot redneck." You obviously can't handle anyone who disagrees with how YOU see it. I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and grew tired of the excessive cost of living and the LACK of political diversity. Sure, people with the SAME viewpoints all got along great. Besides San Francisco, I've lived in Syracuse,NY, Chicago, NYC, and Hamburg, Germany. Overall I found Columbus to be the least political of all these places. People did not seem to judge you one way or the other. If thats not the way you see it, fine, leave.

Disagree with Everett -
7/24/2006Everett is the "idiot" I lived in Columbus for 5 years in the 1990s and found the politics to be quite neutral,moderate, and politically diverse. People are not in your face one way or the other. Look up the voting data on this site or anywhere...there is a slight majority of democrats over republicans in Columbus, but is not a one sided city at all. Everett should move to Portland, OR or San Francisco...if you're not a liberal you will not be accepted.

Climate -
7/24/2006Climate is hot and humid in summer but spring and fall are generally quite nice. Winters are not bad either, it snows occasionally but there is still a lot of sunshine with most days in the 40s or 50s.
