Pensacola, FL

re:
Pensacola , a city ruined by homeless jun - 1/8/2022
Every city has areas like this. Show me one city that doesn't. I could hit all of these reviews individually but it would take me all day. Good people that live here don't trash the city that they love by pointing out the scars. If you don't like those areas, you don't go to those areas and you don't live in these areas. Every place has a good and bad side of town. If anything people should have a heart that makes them sad w/ compassion for stuff & people like this, not a disgust and hatred. Pensacola is a nice place to live. I've been here since 2013 and I've seen growth but that's life anywhere. Pensacola is an older population and they continue to get older. These are the people that are making these reviews. They're being pushed out by growth and progress. I'm actually love seeing the evolution of Pensacola. It's an amazing place.

High Crime, Low Income. Not Just Opinion. - 1/8/2022
Thanks for your horrible review because it hinders anyone from moving to this place. I've been here since 2013 and I love it. Let newcomers move to Central FL and keep Pensacola a hidden gem. I would bet my waterfront townhome that most if not all of these reviews are by disgruntled Boomers who have refused to accept change. They loved their slice of paradise that they got used to and now it's been inundated with things they don't like, for instance, population growth and being pushed out of areas that they loved going to. I get it. When you're focused on the negative, all you see are tatt & vape shops, the homeless, thrift stores and drunk drivers. That hasn't been my experience. Of course, I don't frequent those areas, so I wouldn't know. Pensacola has an amazing infrastructure, amazing law enforcement, amazing beaches and amazing food. To those that aren't happy with this area, they don't have to stay but again, I love these reviews because it deters people from moving to our little slice of paradise.

I have to disagree with Kat on almost everything she's written about Pensacola. A place is what you make it. You don't need to have a job here before you relocate. I've been here over 3 years and I love it. The unemployment rate is low. The people are nice. Kat mentions crime, but where is she living? You can read about crime but not be involved in it or have it affect you. Honestly I think this is one of the lowest crime areas in the nation. I say that because if you commit a crime in Pensacola, they'll throw the book at you. Potential criminals are deterred as a result. And where is the poverty that she speaks of? Again, I've not seen this or heard of it. I highly doubt that Kat has traveled anywhere else to see how bad a place can really be. High cost of living? Drugs? Seriously Kat? This is a terrible review of Pensacola. It sounds like she needs to get out of this place because the lens she is using to look through is not an accurate portrayal at all.

What Laura says is not true. If you so dislike a place, then move. There are 50 other states to choose from with hundreds of towns/cities. Your experience is your experience. I might possibly not be someone else's and I'm that someone.
