8/29/2017 Ha..I dont know when you were in Cody,but when I worked in that high priced hole back in the 1970's I like to froze my tail off working in the oil patch.My suggestion...keep on trucking and avoid Cody like the plague.

5/22/2017If you are looking at Hermiston for a place to live...keep on trucking because it sure isn't any shangri-la.Bad air,lots of pollen,too many illegals,too much traffic...just for starters.

3/17/2015Do NOT move to Sheridan unless you are filthy rich,period,as the business's cater to the rich,the rents are too high,the real estate is way over priced,there are very few decent paying jobs to keep up with Sheridan's exorbitant cost of living.While many have lived here for years,they seem to be unknowing,or uncaring,about the extreme price hikes in the area.Most people travel to Billings,Montana,Casper,Wyoming or Rapid City,SD to shop,or use the internet as variety is nonexistent here for most goods.Unless you are a heavy drinker that is,or use drugs.Sheridan was once a great town to live in,but has really went to the dogs.

11/14/2011 Cody is NOT a good place to live,regardless what others say.They have jumped on the tax & spend bandwagon lately wanting more and more expensive pork barrel projects for a few select people.These RINO's complain daily about Liberals and their tax & spend ways,yet turn right around and do that very thing.There is no fair & balanced news or politics in Cody,or the rest of Park County.It's either my way or the highway.Too many rich transplants have infested Cody,and other towns in the area,thereby driving up housing prices and rents to ridiculous levels.There are very few good paying jobs anymore as most business's cater to these rich bigots who have taken over.Do yourself a favor and avoid this town,and others in the area,like the plague.

6/30/2009I left that rathole back in the early 1990,s . Don't miss it a bit. Too much rat race and too many people to enjoy anything to do. Back then there were few stores in Wasilly . Most had to go into Anchortown to shop. Can't say as I would ever go there again.

7/4/2008Meteetsee is ok if you are rich . Like the rest of Park County , Meteetsee is being over run with rich transplants. Lots of tourists in the summer and nothing to do in the winter unless you like sitting in the bar. Bring your large checkbook , you will need it. Also there is no groceries in Meteetsee , only a small quick stop. The nearest goceries are 35 miles away in Cody.

3/3/2008Cody is expensive too, as is the rest of Park County. There are way too many rich people moving in , driving up real estate prices. Rents are too high also , for the wages. There are no good jobs in Cody anymore that pays a living wage.

6/5/2007Worland is a very tight and clicky town. I was born there but I was not raised there long. I left Worland almost 40 years ago and vowed to never return. The economy is agriculture and Oil & Gas oriented. There is/was very little to do for young people.It is hot there in the summer and cold in the winter due to its proximity to a river. It would not be my choice for a retirement town.

4/23/2007Cody,s economy is tourist oriented. There are very few good paying jobs here anymore since the oil companies have downsized. A lot of rich transplants have moved in to Cody and the surrounding area driving up housing prices. It is getting harder and harder to live in Cody on the $8.00 an hour jobs that are prevailent.The whole of Park County is being over run with rich people and subdivisions.

4/23/2007Do not come to Powell unless you have a lot of money as there are few jobs that pay any decent wages and housing prices are going through the roof. It seems the local business people have learned that the rich boomer transplants have a lot of money to spend so they are catering heavily to those people. The working locals can barely afford to live here anymore.Of course if you rich , there are a lot of new houses and subdivisions going in.
