9/17/2018I moved here about 2 years ago from a large city in the Northeast. I have to say that my experience has been almost the entire opposite than that of the original poster. I find Omaha to be very close to advertised. I am not sure where you come from but drugs are nothing in Nebraska as compared to many other states I have been. The people are very friendly and honest. There is a little bit of everything. it is not a large city, but you will find decent food, theater, a bit of entertainment (although it could improve here). It is a very family oriented city. If you are single, it may not be the place for you. There are jobs everywhere, if you are not working is because you don't want to. The roads are horrible. Overall it is a nice little place that has surpass my expectations. As a non-white from the northeast, people here have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home.
