Louisville, KY

Let me say - I'm not crazy about this part of the country and am no cheerleader for Louisville. But Delphine is not describing this city.
Temps in the summer are not excessive, and a few bouts of in the 90s is normal. When it's humid, it's dreadful, but the temperatures themselves are seldom if ever in the trip-digits.
Gardens thrive, though in drought years you have to water them.
Tornadoes all come with warnings, and rarely do damage to Louisville Metro. A few miles north in Southern Indiana they get nailed pretty regularly.
It storms in the spring. It's the midwest, and that happens.
Water quality is fantastic, among the highest rated in the country.
Air quality - some hot muggy days will have a quality warning, but it's not frequent nor is it anything like every day throughout the summer. (Is she in Louisville?)
Allergies -if you're at all prone you will suffer. It is a terrible place for pollen, ragweed, etc. True enough, your upper and lower respiratory systems take a hit for living here.
Rubbertown is going through a mess right now for sure, and the clean up will be expensive and awful. It is in one small part of the metro, and is not indicative of the majority of the region.
