Royal Oak is one happening city -
2/4/2006Sure they're messing up the archetecture of the city with all the mega-condo's they're building here, but if you have to live in metro Detroit you won't find a nicer area. Plenty of bars, and restaurants, and galleries, still has the nice homey neighborhoods, the schools have gone downhill, but that's because every yokel that gets a job has to move out to 123 mile rd. But the area here between Ferndale and Birmingham off Woodward is the best in the State if you enjoy music, food, and art. only problem is it's still freezing in the winter.
