Property Theft - Vehicle Smash and Grab - 10/28/2016
My wife and I traveled to Yachats for a couple weeks respite. At the Tenmile Creek Wayside on the coastal highway 101 at 5:00 in the afternoon someone smashed and grabbed my wife's purse and all our camera gear. Police were sympathetic, but property crime is not a priority. Despite tracking the criminals via credit card usage we didn't recover our property. The police said meth addicts roam the coastal highway looking for easy targets, and we were silly not to know this. Please beware.
