Very hard place to live -
1/9/2019Lived here for 2 years, only people to come here is because they have no other choice. 2 stores, 4 eateries, 1 gas station and no services. There is a clinic, but open sporadically, must purchace helicopter ambulance insurance.
Nearest services is 1.5 hours away in La Pine, with most needed items coming from Bend which is 2.5 hours away.
Only thing that grows out here is sage brush and hay/alfalfa. There is no dirt, all kitty litter which gets on everything.
Very few homes, mostly 5th wheel trailers where they dump and live in with no power, water, or sewage.
