Hidden Hills, CA

NOT for Equestrians, and HOA is too controlling - 9/22/2017
I'm leaving this review because I feel I was fooled when I moved here. I am an equestrian and I was led to believe that this was a vibrant horse community. Unfortunately, horses are barely tolerated in Hidden Hills. They used to have horse shows and gymkhanas but they don't even do that any more. I never see other people on the trails.
To make matters even worse, the HOA is full of a bunch of bloviating jerks who think they own the town (maybe they do). This results in spec. builders creating McMansions that cover the ENTIRE lot (no matter how big). So Hidden Hills is losing its open, ranch feeling and looking a lot more like Beverly Hills.
If you read the review from "Paul", you will notice that it was written almost a decade ago. Hidden Hills has changed a lot since then. Even though some of the home owners have tried to fight it, the so-called "leadership" in Hidden Hills refuses to lead. Instead, they intimidate the homeowners who attend the HOA meetings and have now instituted a rule which forbids homeowners from even speaking during the HOA meetings! So the developers are having a field day. There is construction in every part of this gated community. Almost 60 projects going on simultaneously in September 2017.
They are ripping down the barns and building HUGE, UGLY homes that look like office buildings.
VERY SAD. Bottom line: don't move here if you love horses or open space.
