Driftwood, TX | 1 Review(s)

I am a substitute teacher, I love to travel all over the world (especially Europe) and the United States (especially the Northwest). I love animals in nature and no matter where I go, I never see as many as I see right here in Driftwood, Texas.

Dripping Springs, TX

LIFE IN DRIFTWOOD TEXAS - 4/9/2009
Driftwood is Southwest Austin's Best Kept Secret. People all over the world (reported on The Travel Channel) come here to eat at the famous Salt Lick Bar-B-Que Restaurant. There is also a magnificant Italian Winery, Gift Shop, Restaurant here. It's a very small town. The People are friendly, the scenery is hilly and green, the school district is exemplary and there's a lot of land left untouched here. We have the cutest little rock post office, a quaint little church and cemetery and we see Matthew McConahay once in awhile! We regularly have deer in our yards, pretty birds in our trees, armadillos, coyotes, mountain lions, fox, possums, porcupines, turkeys, a wild boar every once in awhile, ring-tailed cats and many other animals are native to this area. I don't know why you don't have Driftwood on your "select a city" list as that's how I found this survey. I had to put in Dripping Springs to submit my review and that's the next town over.
