Hi Jennifer,

Sounds like you need to venture outside your perimenter a little. There are numerouse ethnic restaurants in the Charlotte area. The news stations report NEWS. I don't really think they pick and choose what groups to target. If a white collar banker is caught driving drunk, the wrong way on 485, hits and kills an innocent victim I'm sure it will make the news.

Hi Tim,

I know what you're talking about. Funny thing...I always thought it was the transplants that were arrogant and rude. Thank you for pointing that out and making me more aware of how I treat others.

Your are right that every place has it's ups and downs just as all cities have good areas and well...not so good. The key is finding the right area of Charlotte that fits your lifestyle needs. Uptown living is great for singles and professional couples. Great restaurants, entertainment, etc. There are numerous family oriented neighborhoods outside the city that are communities within themselves. The best thing you could do is find a competent agent to provide you with info on demographics, employment, geographic locations, etc. If I may be of assistance please contact me: mgreene25@carolina.rr.com

Housing Market in Charlotte - 1/12/2008
Even with all the changes in the Real Estate industry, Charlotte remains a great market. Homes continue to appreciate, though at a slightly lower rate and the inventory is massive. It is a buyer's market. The key is to buy a quality built home in the right area at the right price.
