It seems to me you can not truly apreciate a new place with beauty. You should go back to the mid west it is familiar to you. As far as most of your compaints I have live on both coasts and the midwest and there is always good and bad to every place. It is what you make it. The place I live in now has about the same cost of living as ABQ however, I live in a city that has the highest unemployment rate in the country, and the lowest pay. I have over 20 years experience in my career but still make the same as when I moved here 10 years ago. I have had three jobs, all the same pay and because the economy sucks X 3 no raises. I have done a lot of research on Albuquerque in hopes to retire there. I have found that I can move there get the same size house for the same amount of money and make a better living. Not to mention the enourmouse amount of stuff to do.

Apperantly you don't get out much. I live in Sumter, South Carolina at the moment, I am originally from Southern California, and it is so far in the past here we think going to Lowes is a fun thing to do. For anyone who has heard the saying "it's a one horse town" well we are a "no horse town". Maybe you should get out of Albuquerque because when I get there I would hate to meet you and have you bring me down. You are just not Albuquerque material. go back to the coast, which ever one you came from, I am guessing not California or you would have been more open minded.

Stuck in the past - pre Civil War - 7/15/2010
The area is pretty but the culture is stuck in the pre-civil war era.
