I liked living in the LV area -
3/16/2008I would recommend living in a suburb like Summerlin, Henderson, or Boulder City(which is a bit farther.) Then you can be close to all the fun and action, but be in nicer, safer neighborhoods. I lived in Henderson and I loved it! I was only 10 min. from the Strip and it was a thriving, nice neighborhood!

3/16/2008I lived in Henderson, just southeast of Las Vegas for about a year and a half. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Strip. There were tons of restaurants, shopping, and everything you could want to do right there in my neighborhood. The cost of living is pretty high, and real estate is expensive, but the area is growing and developing every day and you're sure to get what you pay for a house back (and then some!)
The weather is great and Henderson is safer than living in Vegas itself! I would recommend this lovely town to anyone looking for a fun, exciting place to live!
