6/5/2009The DC metro area is in my opinion is one of the finest places to live. The options for entertainment, education, dining, and outdoor recreation are second to none.
I grew up in Anne Arundel county, specifically Crofton, which is about an hour away from where i currently reside (Germantown). Altough crofton did have alot to do being approximately 1/2 hour away from both baltimore and DC, it didnt really have a strong community feel or much ethnic diviersity whatsoever. Moving to Germantown gave me a taste of what the real DC metro area is like, with a diverse population and ample opportunities for experiencing different cultures that I was not given residing in Crofton.
