Good Services and Quality of Life for Low Cost of -
5/24/2009I'm a long time resident (more than 17 years). Round Lake Beach has a lower average cost of housing than other nearby cities. A wide variety of people of ages and incomes live here, families and retirees, with some singles. Shopping is very convenient (Home Depot, SuperWalMart, Multiscreen Theater, and many small shops and services), and City offices centrally located (police station, city hall, post office, convention center) near the Metra Station (which many take to Chicago for work or weekend). Crime seems very low (no one in my neighborhood affected to my knowledge over the last 17 years), and the city run honestly and competently.
