1/4/2011For someone like you, closed minded/ high expectations, you may want to travel a bit south of Eau Claire to find a "significant other". No, I'm not saying "go back to the south" just try Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and even Green Bay. Eau Claire is not a "big city" with big city ideals. My biggest suggestion is, before moving to someplace...check it out. Don't knock the place that YOU moved to in hopes to find something that isn't there.

1/4/2011Nice place to live. Schools are close unless in high school then the child has to be bussed. Everything is close to include auto parts, building supplies, Super Wal-Mart, Walgreens, fast food, and some sit down places. New Orleans is less than 20 minutes away for those who like the parades. Fishing is about an hour away (depends on who is driving) and hunting is about 5 to 15 minutes away depending on who you know. Some crime from kids being kids,(small vandals) but nothing like down town. Neighbors are great if you take the time to meet them. All different cultures and professional back grounds can be found in all the neighborhoods. Recommend for those who like town but need a little room to stretch. Ideal for those who are starting families or have young children that are starting school.
