5/26/2006I lived in Denver for awhile and was happy to leave once I started a family. I didn't feel safe raising my children their. my husband lived most of his life their and it was hard for him to say goodbye but now he doesn't not miss it. We love visiting but I would never live their. Listening to my husband tell his stories is something I did not want my children to see. They have many fun things to do but costly. I'm sure a walk is free but enjoying Denver at its best you need money. One thing I love was seeing the mountains when the city was not hazed over in pollution. If I did not have a family and lived their I would be sure to carry pepper spray. I just felt uncomfortalbe going places at night by myself and so did my husband. Crime is double from where we live now and housing in Denver is going out the roof. Everyone I know that lives thier has had something stolen at some point from a purse to a car. It seems like every time we go back for a visit thier is more people moving their and low income. I would say if you where single it would be a great place but I think it is not the greatest place for a family. We are still die hard Bronco and Avs fans and that will never change. Denver is a great place, great shopping but busy always. I loved driving late late at night and seeing the city. Traffic, horrible but thats what you get for living in a big city. I just can't see myself living in a town where drive by shooting happen. We live in a town of about 150000 and it is perfect for our family. Denver was just to big and crazy to raise a family.

5/26/2006I've lived here for five years and have no plans of leaving. It is a great place to raise children. I love seeing stars everynight. Whenever we travel too big cities that is one thing we miss. Crime is low and the weather is not that bad. Last couple years the winters have been mild and the summers are great and you get use to it. They have wonderful parks and lakes for fishing and camping that are not far away. People are freindly and always love helping others. I love where we live, I love the people and I feel safe for myself and my children. I dreaded moving at first then I loved it.
