Bless your CA heart Robert - don't feel bad about my extreme snobbery now...standards are so low & this town is so poor. Kamikaze drivers/potholes & no police presence... Here 3 yrs & still loath it. "No guns" signs on biz offices/no choice of cable/internet/phone providers/etc. People are nice - spend much of my time lost. Appears to be only political apathy. A native Northern CA - have lived from San Jose to Menlo Park. Going home when my lease's up...

Cultural Shock/Poverty & Political Apathy - 3/8/2014
Moved here solely cause rent's practically free. A native Silicon Valley CA resident - rent's your 1st born. Tucson was & is cultural shock personified. For me, it was like moving to another country & an impoverished one at that. The healthcare cracks me up. If you like potholes/kamikaze drivers/smoking/legal fireworks & a solid 3 mos of 100+ summers - Tucson will be the promised land! Moving home when my lease's up...
