I live in Lake Mack/Forest Hills area located in rural Lake County Florida. I have been located in rural Lake County since 1994. I am the President of Forest Hills Association dedicated to making our area a better place to live and raise our children. I raised 4 children that are now grown in Lake Mack. I am a former school bus driver and now working for the local school board in H.R. My husband and I moved to the rural area of Lake County the school enviroment in Apopka. So, we packed up and bought a home here. You have some people that come out here to just be left alone and are set in their ways and then there are some that are very outgoing. But in the last few years I have seen people come together no matter what their preference or life style was for a great good of the community.

You can not be serious? You are describing every area all over the U.S. The same thing goes on in our area as does Umatilla, Deland oh and lets not forget Daytona Beach. Just like anywhere else some people are not nice and some people are. Addiction, violence and oh yes lets not forget Rednecks are everywhere. You failed to post our area also is made up of mexican, black, indian etc. Everyone acts like they are so much better then these rural areas. In the real world this is everywhere you go. It is up to the people of the community to allow it to happen or take a stand. Signed Forest Hills/Lake Mack since 1996
