I have been working for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 26 years and I just moved to Fayette, MS. I live in an antebellum house in Jefferson County and I am ready to move because the taxes are too high. The small stores are over charging citizens left and right. No expiration dates are on the foods that are sold in Jeffeson County. And, you're forced to pay a private company for garbage pick-up.

Taxes - 9/3/2010
The taxes are too high in this town on residential and car tags. Where is the tax money going. With the amount of taxes that I pay totalling 2,400 a year is outrageous. Samantha Jackson and her crew Mr. People's needs to replaced because of their obvious misappropriation of funds. Theirs no growth, no jobs, no town improvements.
