grew up here gas - 12/23/2015
i grew up in nederland,tx went to school in nederland and graduated from nederland highschool in 78 i seen alot of changes over the years from the price of beef to taking a vacation price of beef has got way out of hand as far as pricing goes i can remember when a can soda cost 18 cents a can i thought at that time was kel because at that time of my life you could go to the store with 5.00 and bring home alot of junk food along with soda's and still have change left over gas used to be 50 cents a gallon eggs were under a dollar for a dozen even meat was cheaper back then till after 1978 prices gradually begin to rise when jimmy carter was in office price of gas went from 50 cents to a little over a dollar when regan was in office price of gas jumped a little over a dollar when bush sr was in office the cost of living really went through the roof and gas prices was still over a dollar when bush jr went into office price of gas went as high to almost 5.00 a gallon those of us who are on disability hope the gas companies enjoyed taking money away from those of us that are on disability now the price of gas is falling i hope it continues to the price of meat is still climbing to no end and people that are on foodstamps i'd love to see the people live off of let's say for the average person 75.00 a month i'd love to see the people that work for the foodstamp office live off of that each month they wouldn't make it even if they have 3 to 5 kids soemthing has to give i think if a family member has a farm that they would let other family members buy raise cows,pigs and chickens to fill the freezer and grow a garden huge enough for 4 to 5 families we be ok and wouldn't have to depend on going to the grocery store for meat or vegies even milk that would put a hurt on the grocery stores but there really not helping by cutting the price of meat down some i can care less about cigs but something has to give or we'll be the one's hurting to fill our freezer with fresh meat every day.
