WOW only a 5 on crime...PLEASE READ -
8/26/2009Hello all. I have lived in New Ellenton, SC my whole life. Born in Aiken. Let me start by saying this place is crazy for children growing up. New Ellenton middle school was the BEST middle school ever. I actually moved for a year to North Augusta and the people who went there were all stuck up, alot of children picking on others and so rude teachers! However, New Ellenton middle school was amazing, everybody got along and there was very LITTLE abuse verbally and physically. ON THE OTHER HAND many, many, many DRUGS!!!!!!!!!! So many drugs. Cocaine and crack is extremely bad in New Ellenton. Some of the bigest drug dealers live in New Ellenton. People from Aiken and Augusta GA even Mccormick and Columbia, come straight to New Ellenton for Drugs.
If you want a safe enviroment for children please think twice before moving to New Ellenton. If your kids are grown and you just want a peaceful place to live~New Ellenton is great for that. Crime isn't really a big issue. Everybody knows everybody else and in Dodge (the hood) there is some violent crimes but everywhere else is pretty great! Just be on the lookout and make sure you dont think your kids are above drugs~ New Ellenton might change that!
